"Mom... Phys. Ed. is where I learn about my physical self." E. Pendleton, Age 5

Physical education is the essential part of a child’s education designed to help them develop the knowledge, understandings, skills, motivation, and commitment to include and value physical activity and the positive impact it has on ones physical, social, emotional and intellectual health and well-being. Like every other subject area, at the heart of physical education is learning. And at the heart of all learning lies the body and the brain. Both must be considered equally in all aspects of education.
